I purchased this netbook for my 13 year old daughter. She had the machine up and running within 15 minutes after she opened it and that includes the time to download her “necessary” programs - AIM, Facebook, My Space. The machine is perfect for what she uses it for. My only complaint would be the battery life - she said she gets around 2.5 hours between charges.
